AEI Executive Council Program

The AEI Executive Council Program provides current undergraduates the opportunity to engage with AEI’s scholarship and improve the quality and diversity of public policy dialogue on their campuses. Through a series of educational and networking opportunities, the AEI Executive Council Program exposes the next generation of leaders in public policy, media, business, academia, law, and other fields to the research and people of AEI and prepares them to model a competition of ideas on their campuses and beyond.

About Us

About Us

The AEI Executive Council Program began in 2013 on 25 undergraduate campuses and has since grown to over 200 student leaders on more than 75 campuses across the country. These groups of up to six students per school form the core of AEI’s outreach to undergraduates. They plan and execute panels, conversations, and roundtable discussions with AEI scholars and other nationally renowned scholars and commentators; attend exclusive public policy conferences and summits at AEI’s headquarters in Washington, DC and at partner campuses across the country; and join a network of peers committed to civil debate and open discourse. Alumni of the program have gone on to attend some of the nation’s top graduate schools; work on Capitol Hill and various DC public policy think tanks; and been published in leading newspapers and magazines.

Conferences and Summits

Conferences and Summits

Throughout the academic year, Executive Council members are invited to participate in exclusive conferences. Taking place over the course of a Friday evening and all day Saturday, these fully-funded opportunities bring Executive Council members in contact with some of the latest scholarship coming out of AEI, while also giving members a chance to network with students from around the country.
